An other day in Suzhou

Today, Lilie told me that I can have an other day off to visit Suzhou and Mr Yang (my host father) took me to two famous gardens, after a 100% Suzhou breakfast :

A soja bean drink, a “mantou” and a sort of bread with sesame, delicious !

Garden of Harmony

These two gardens are very beautiful but I liked the fact that Master of Nets garden was difficult to find because I had to ask a lot of people where it was and it allowed me to find some very good jade at a cheap price.

But, next to the garden I bought an other piece of jade and I have seen that it is not a real jade (because of the temperature, the jade have to be always cold in the hands).

So you have to be carefull when you buy it, you always have to ask for a certificate ! 🙂

Then I came back to Harmony garden which is next to Guan Qian shopping street, and I decided to eat street food which looked very good)

And it was absolutely delicious.

Then I walked a bit and I found a small shop which sold some bugs, seahorse, starfish, snake, spider and scorpions to eat. Even the chinese took pictures and were surprised 😉

Then I walked to a big center, which was hidden (because I really like to go where no one goes haha!)

And I have found a sort of jade, precious stone and antique commercial center with small boutiques inside.

And yes chinese people love having a Menate in a cage.. He was singing but I was a bit sad for him !

Then I went back home but my host family was not there and they told me to go back to pingjian road, hopefully I remembered how to go there !

The street is so beautiful at night and I decided to go back to the Momi Cafe I like ( I admit it, it was to charge my phone too haha !)

Then I met my host family and we have eaten in the house of their friend, in Pingjian road !

By the way, this was a “christmas dinner” and there were more than 30 plates: king crab, fish, turtle, vegetable, meat, rough shrimps, cakes and a lot of other things…
